To Dircoo your privacy is very important, therefore, to further protect your privacy we provide this document explaining our practices on online information management, letting you know how your data is collected and used. To make this document easy to find, we have it available in our homepage, in the Web Spaces, and at every point where personal information may be requested.

This document applies to all information collected or published at the Dircoo service. In some sections you can register to get a Dircoo account and Web Space. As a visitor to the Web Spaces, you can contact and make inquiries to companies registered in our service, using our messaging system. The personal information we collect for the companies in these sections are:

 

Your name,

Country (optional),

City (optional),

Email address (optional),

Telephone number (optional),

Message text

 

Dircoo DOES NOT collect financial data, such as bank accounts and credit or debit card numbers. However, companies that are published in Dircoo may require this type of sensitive information to perform transactions. For this reason, we ask that you use caution when giving out information and make sure that the transaction is secure by checking the legality of the company first.

 

How We Use the Information

 

We use the information you provide us only for identification and contact, by us and our users.

 

You can contact a company that advertises within our service, either through the contact information the company provides (email, phone, address, etc.), or through the messaging system available at the Web Spaces. At the time of contact, Dircoo only acts as a facilitator for you and the company advertised to establish some kind of business relationship. For this reason, it is the responsibility of the given company to protect the information you will be delivering.

 

Dircoo requires all registered companies to be legal entities, as stated in our Terms of Service. But we need your help to detect and remove those that are not reliable. On each page of the Web Spaces you'll find a link called "Denounce this Web Space", that you can use to tell us which companies fail to comply with Dircoo’s terms. Besides this method of security, we urge you to follow the same safety guidelines that should be used in any website, which includes the following advices:

 

1.    Do not give companies more information than necessary.

2.    Do not give out your passwords, bank accounts and credit or debit card numbers.

3.    Do business only after verifying the company is a legal entity.

 

Our Commitment to Data Security

 

To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have provided the appropriate physical, electronic and management procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.

 

Our Commitment to Privacy of Children

 

Protecting the safety of the very young is especially important to us. For this reason, we do not collect or maintain data at our service of people we know are under 14 years, and no part of our service is structured to attract anyone under 14 years.

 

How to Access or Correct Your Information

 

As a registrant of a Dircoo Account, you can access all the information we collect online and delete it or change it through the Control Panel and the section Change my Profile. For your protection and security these options can only accessed if you identify with the authentication data that you defined when registering your account. If you ever forget your password, we offer a form of recovery, whereby we will send a copy to your email address.

 

In any case, we do not warrant that the data changed or deleted do not persist in our backup system, but we WILL NOT deliver it to third parties, with the exception of some legal requirement.

 

Amendments

 

We reserve the right to make changes to the Privacy Policy for legal or administrative reasons. In this case, we will inform you with a publication in the home page of Dircoo.
